Planning a trip to the Walled Garden in 2026 could not be easier

Garden entry
Your ticket is for entry all day – Pop out for lunch and come back to take your time to smell the roses!
£7.50 entrance includes a fascinating guided tour
Children: Under 5’s free – over 5 £1
Season Ticket – £20 allows unlimited visits throughout the season
Repeat visits – Alternative tours available and our displays will change throughout the season (along with plants and produce in the garden)

individuals and groups under 10 can pay at the garden gate
Payment in cash is preferred. Although we accept card payments the signal in the garden is dependent on prevailing conditions – Cash is also preferred for the garden shop.
The Woodyard Cafe & Brasserie is a short walk through the garden gate (Check opening times at 01582-879863)

What’s happening at the Walled Garden during the winter months?
This winter, join us for our ‘Talks on Monday’ series, hosted at the Estate Office here at Luton Hoo Estate. Each talk is thoughtfully researched, prepared, and delivered by members of the Walled Garden Project team.
Upcoming Dates
- Monday 30th March 2026 – An Estate responds to national change – 1900-1950

Join us for a fascinating talk examining how national events changed the Luton Hoo Estate between 1900 and 1950
‘1900- A new century and a new reign, a time of gaiety and optimism. The talk looks at the ambitious schemes undertaken by Sir Julius Wernher and his wife after their purchase of Luton Hoo in 1903 and the subsequent upheavals to the Estate caused by two World Wars. How was the Estate to survive in 1950?’
The morning begins at 10.30am for or tea/coffee and a biscuit, with the talk starting at 11am and ending at 12.30pm.
Tickets are only £7.50 with single tickets available on the day (although notice is required for multiple and group bookings)

Talks can be booked in advance, either individually or as part of a group. If you’re unable to book ahead, you’re still very welcome to pay on the day — though advance notice is always appreciated.
