Living on the Estate
Residential properties on the estate were originally built to house Estate workers. These houses have now become character filled homes within the safety of the Estate gates.

About the Estate
The Estate has been with the same family since 1903, when it was purchased by the Wernher’s. Since that time the Estate has gone through many significant changes to become the diverse and flourishing agricultural farm, commercial and residential location, film set and Walled Garden that it is today.
Whether it is a safe and strategic location to live or work in, a unique and historical setting, a sporting prospect, or a variety of venues to host your event/celebration, Luton Hoo Estate is a diverse and flexible location with many opportunities.
The Estate Today
Today, the Estate is a vibrant, friendly hub of commercial activities, including the arable farm, solar farm, residential properties, commercial units, a unique Victorian farm (regularly used as a film/tv location) and a number of fantastic event/celebration settings; from our beautiful Conservatory within the Walled Garden to the Woodyard Coffee Shop.
Although at the heart of the Estate is our stunning Walled Garden, which is now the setting of a vibrant Volunteer Project, Luton Hoo Estate continues to view itself primarily as a forward thinking modern agricultural farm that balances contemporary and often cutting-edge techniques with historical precedence as we strive towards a greener and more environmentally conscious future.
